Updated Apps Review

Have you had random App updates lately?
Instagram now has hashtags come up when typing,
giving suggestions and showing the number of
times that hashtag has been used on IG.

Also Pinterest now has trending when you
search for something.
And they have colors for how popular it is,
deeper the color = more people looking that up.

Snapchat removed their tap and hold
and now it is just tap.
Which is kind of strange, it changes a lot.

Snapchat also added some new filters,
Along with the color changing edits,
they now have location banners,
holiday banners, and a strange battery.
Not sure about the battery one but I like the others.

Tumblr is very proud to have "added Chinese translations
and reduced the number of crashes."
You can now get a  notification
 when your favorite blog posts.
There is a little human on their page you tap to follow.

Speaking of notifications,
Netflix has joined the game,
when a new season has been added to a show in
your list a push notification (if they are enabled)
will pop up, If not, a small bell on the top bar in the app
will have a little number show up.

Twitter did a little redesign recently,
changing the way to switch between accounts,
they have also been working
on the discover and search areas.

Pandora says they now have a feature where
you can hum a tune using SoundHound.
Which now changes the game for Shazam and
siri, who recently was able to "name that tune"

Facebook Messenger,
which in my opinion is useless,
can now be used without a Facebook,
but with only a phone number to sign up.

What do you think?
How do you feel bout updates?
Favorite improvements?

Best Wishes

Selfie Time

Okay, this post will contain
 several selfies of my face.

Just thought I'd let you know.

I've put together some tips on selfie taking.

To start lets review some things.
You probably won't look like a movie star.
Mostly because they have professionals
doing their set up.
And you won't look like a Kardashian
 because those photos are retouched.
Some actual things you can do are as follows.

Lets start with a bad one

Dull right?

The angle is okay but nothing pops out
and the blank expression is not helping.

Lets try again

Angles are important.
Find what works for you,
A little shy? Play with showing your fantastic mane
and jewelry and hide the face a little.
I also added some lipstick to add some POP!

Another one
Boring! No expression leaves you sad looking.

I guess we can move onto quality.
I love my Iphone 5s but the rear camera isn't
fantastic.

Even with a smile you can tell the quality is bad.
Use the front facing camera.
If you can't reach the touch button on the screen
to snap your selfie, use the volume buttons.

Okay now lighting
dark can hide,
but it can also make you look strange.
(I couldn't find a dark place)
try and have the light shine on your face.
and don't have the light right behind you in the picture

The mirror selfie can be cute,
but avoid unwanted objects in the background
and make sure the mirror is clean
Pull a funny face if you feel awkward.

 Notice the refrigerator?
 Not cool.

Add a few friends
Every selfie is better when you make it an us-ie.

Have Fun!

DIY Time

DIY Time.
I recently started my wall of whatever.
Well that's what I call it other people may call it an accent wall.
Basically it's a mixture of pictures, wall decor, and whatever else you want.
Hence the name "Whatever Wall"
It's a simple way to make your space unique to your personality.
You know when you were in middle of high school and posters and pictures
were tacked to your walls and ceilings?
It's a grown up version of that :)
Sans the boy band posters.
Start by choosing a wall that has space around it,
A larger wall with less furniture so you can keep adding to it.
A neutral color works best or you can use chalkboard pant
to give it an extra level of creativity.
Start with a color scheme of theme.
Family and friends pictures or landscapes.
You can even add empty frames and put books or symbols
In them.
Here are some examples.....
My favorite the Instagram walls. Easy to make
Just print out your IG pictures with the filters
and easy glue them onto white paper for the Polaroid look

Or use small white frames for a more sophisticated look.
You also have the washi tape option.
The freedom to make your own frames.

Or if you want to get really crazy YOU CAN PAINT!!
Stencils and sponges are great for this type of look
Or you can go for the picture frame and trinket look
I love this one!

Simple and easy. Plus you can make it a stand out headboard!

This is one is gorgeous. I love the words inside the frames and the mirror too.
