Grown up Coloring Books

Hey!

Its Monday! Which is great I guess, I personally don't mind Mondays because until January 19th I have Mondays off, but someone had to go and start college on Mondays.

Its Monday Opinion Post day! That is not a thing but we will pretend it is.

So today I will share my expert, calculated, well researched opinion on Coloring Books for Grown ups. ( I don't like the term "Adult")
I had a birthday shortly before Christmas and got a coloring book, which looked awesome but I was a little wary of the idea of having time to sit and color. I love to color, and in the summer I work at dance camps and we let the kids color almost everyday to kill some time for them. And I mostly just color for myself. Anyway, I was excited to have some time off and maybe color. I didn't.
Then I got one as a Christmas present, everyone in my family got one, so we all sat down and colored. Oh My Gosh, it was great! It is relaxing but still makes your brain work, also great for creativity and not just mind numbing busy work. So I am slowly converting to the idea of coloring books for grown ups.
I would only buy one for someone who would actually do it though.

And I took a little trip to NYC after Christmas with my sister and also my best friend. We had a blast! We saw Something Rotten, walked all through Central Park, Times Square, Highline, New York City Ballet, Greenwich Village, 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, American Museum of Natural History and some other awesome stuff. Here are some pictures. By far my favorite was Ice Skating and Rockefeller Center!

Happy New Year!!!
Best Wishes

Camping Trip 2015

Through a series of events it came about that
my brother and I were going camping in Fort De Soto area.

I was excited not only because it was my first road trip
where I would be driving but
because it was the Gulf of Mexico and
it was at a beach and I love the beach.
And I've always wanted to see the sunset on the
West Coast of FL.
(I saw it in CA and it was amazing!)
Anyway we planned on camping and just exploring
beaches and the city and relaxing.

We made a reservation to do a ferry ride to an
island with "white sandy beaches
and clear water perfect for snorkeling"
I was pumped.
The forecast showed rain, but this is
Florida and rain comes and go
so I was prepared.

It poured 24/7
and the wind practically blew us away.
It was a mess.
Also the wonderful ferry to the island I was
looking forward to was canceled and they took us
to another island that was a mess and we stayed for
3 hours and it was windy and cloudy.
The water was warm which was good because
I was going in no matter what.
Here are some pictures of the interesting and
full of adventure trip.

Off we go!

On the island.

The beach was less "sandy white beaches"
and more sea oats and bushes
with sand spurs.

The ocean was very rough and stormy
we were lucky to have a few hours with no rain.

Me with the Gulf!

Fort De Soto.

The top of the fort
one second cloudy the next pouring rain.

We were a little gloomy
so we found Panera and Wifi :)

The sundial in downtown St.Pete

We found the Ln but not the Sunshine :)

Lots of beautiful building downtown.

The fountain of youth
(Supposedly)

Salvador Dali Museum
This building is so cool!

Completely soaked but still walking.

The record for the fastest
10 mile run was set in St.Pete.

The bay all rainy.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge
which is very scary!
And I accidentally drove over it,
Siri gave us the wrong directions.

Egmont Key

The Pier in Fort De Soto

This part of the fort was built a little to
close to the water and it fell awhile ago.
These are the ruins.

It was rainy but it was fun over all.

Busy Bee

It is the time of year when everything
seems to be happening.
Students are ready to finish the semester,
teachers plan recitals, parties, tests, and much more.
I personally think we should divide all of
these events up over the months but it tends to
fall to just a few weeks.
And then summer.
I love summer! It is my favorite time,
especially when I get to go to the beach.

But now I have a job that doesn't take summer off.
So I have to put in for actual vacation days.
It's strange getting old.
And I'm taking an online class this summer
so I won't be completely school free.
But I'm still excited.

I was going to talk about something completely different,
its been on my mind for days.
Remember the post about dreams
and how I figured I have sleep problems because
I don't confront people in reality.
Well I stumbled onto a situation that
I felt had wronged me.
After venting to my very best friend,
I decided not to confront that person.
1. Because I knew that they simply would brush it off.
2. It would serve no purpose ruining a night
just so I would feel better.
I also figured that if they did it on purpose,
I would only give them satisfaction over my reaction.
So I'm trying to let it go,
even though they did the wrong thing,
I'm the only one who is hurt.

Now that I understand my sleep problem
I'm better at addressing why I'm not sleeping.
But that doesn't solve the problem.
It's something I'm working on :)
Anyway I'm planing a trip to Texas with sister
so here are some fun beach/summer pictures.
Baseball-The American pastime.

My family loves the mountains so summer for me would
include mountains.
Disney- We live close and go to a Christian concert night
but this year we are going to Texas instead.

I've been para sailing twice now
and I love it!
I would love to go again.

4th of July is huge for my family
so I made this last year.

So I covered like five topics.
I hope you have a great end of the semester
and start your summer planing soon!
